Your tasks

  • Planning, execution and evaluation of experiments on a catalytic high-pressure test rig for the hydrothermal gasification of biomass
  • Developing a method for the regeneration of spent catalysts
  • Optimization of an existing catalyst using wet chemical methods
  • Documentation of the results in technical reports and scientific journals
  • Characterization of the catalysts using modern methods
  • Close collaboration with an industrial partner and an international and diverse team of PhD students, postdocs, senior scientists, engineers, technicians

Your profile

  • Master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, process engineering or materials science with a focus on heterogeneous catalysis
  • Practical experience with continuous catalytic test systems and gas analysis
  • Doctorate in a field of heterogeneous catalysis desirable
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
  • High motivation to work on bioenergy projects and research novel technologies
