You will be part of the Quality Assurance (QA) Solutions team. We develop software products for automated quality assurance procedures of medical Linacs and patient treatments which are seamlessly integrated into the clinical workflow to fulfill best our customer needs. Your physics background and engineering skills will allow you to design, perform and govern independent verification tests for our quality assurance products. In this role, you act as subject matter expert for Radiation Therapy Solutions (RTS) software services and applications.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensure medical devices for quality assurance are developed to high-quality standards and fulfill customer expectations on accuracy and reliability.

  • Define strategies for comprehensive system testing of new products to demonstrate that they meet customer needs.

  • Contribute to the design, development, and modification of radiation therapy QA products.

  • Ensure that verification is complete and that Varian's products are safe and effective by providing the corresponding test evidence.

  • Actively participate in requirements and risk hazard analysis.

  • Support the development team by designing, performing, and documenting experimental verification tests

  • Act as key resource for the engineering team to understand the physics aspects of the products.

  • Maintain external technical awareness necessary to perform credible product evaluations.

Desired Qualifications

  • 3 years of working experience in a related industry (i.e. experimental physics, biomedical engineering, or related fields) is required.

  • Strong interest in designing and performing experiments in the lab; Experience in medical physics is an asset, but not mandatory.

  • Independent working style; Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving abilities with good communication skills to collaborate with internal and external partners.

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

  • Travel expenditure: 20%

You are used to working independently, open to discussing ideas and solutions with your colleagues.
