At Varian Medical Systems Imaging Laboratory (iLab) where more than 400 highly qualified staff members develop key technologies for medical imaging and image processing in radiation oncology. The majority of this collaborative team consists of software developers, hardware engineers,computer scientists, physicists and other technical professionals engaged in the research and development of software and hardware components for the Varian product lines.
& What we do:
Today, the VMS iLab is Varian Medical Systems’ center of excellence for imaging, as well as optical monitoring and identification, treatment management, cybersecurity, and software technologies - offering an international perspective that drives innovation, implementation, and the integration of software and hardware solutions in the fight against cancer.
Our Combination with Siemens Healthineers:
Varian is beginning its next chapter as part of Siemens Healthineers. On April 15, 2021, we announced that we completed the combination of our organizations, which means Varian and Siemens Healthineers are officially one united company. Together, we are better positioned to push the boundaries of innovation and shape the future of healthcare and cancer care. As a combined company we will establish the most comprehensive portfolio—from in-vitro diagnostics and best-in-class imaging to therapy and follow-up care - addressing the complete cancer care continuum, as well as many of the world’s most threatening diseases. We’re incredibly excited about the opportunities ahead to accelerate our global patient impact and transform oncology.
