Job Description Summary

The Purchasing Scheduler (f/m(d) leads the development and execution of purchasing processes for a specified segment within the Materials Management Organization. Purchasing through negotiation, plan development, and execution. As a purchasing scheduler, you will strategically develop and manage a global supply plan for goods and services to geographically diverse locations, while driving a commercial advantage through achievement of quality, delivery, and cost targets. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and effect short-term and long-term business goals.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely creation and release of Purchase Orders to support the primary schedule.
  • Collaborate with supply partners and Materials Resource Planner to drive fulfillment activities and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution, including managing scheduling changes and cancelations.
  • Keep ERP system up to date and accurate to the current state of supply.
  • Apply appropriate Sourcing policies and execute sourcing program initiatives for strategic sourcing team, including management of deflation activities and supply chain risk mitigation.
  • Support initiatives, including lead time reduction, New Product Introduction (NPI), payment terms and cash flow improvements.
  • Manage projects in a matrix organization globally.
  • Act as the primary source of contact for supply partners operational needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technical, Business, Supply Chain OR a high school diploma / GED and with some experience in manufacturing, materials planning, inventory management or warehouse/distribution centers.
