Global RDMA Data Protection & Compliance Manager

Sobi RDMA (Research Development Medical Affairs) is a global function covering medical/scientific and clinical execution as well as Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance and preclinical development. The RDMA Data Privacy and Compliance Manager supports and enables RDMA projects and activities and supports Sobi’s personal data protection compliance programme, working in close collaboration with all RDMA departments and Sobi’s Global Data Protection Officer as well as Sobi ́s Healthcare Compliance Director.

• •- First point of contact for RDMA questions and queries related to personal data protection
• •Supporting the Global RDMA strategy by providing input and expertise on personal data protection
• •Supporting RDMA teams in activities requiring data protection expertise
• •Supporting, implementing and maintaining Sobi’s data protection programme in RDMA departments and processes
• •Ensuring that RDMA policies and procedures include relevant personal data protection components
• •Staying abreast with the developments in legal requirements and industry best practice when processing personal data in RDMA-related activities (e.g., clinical studies, PV, regulatory submissions)
• •Identifying, assessing, and communicating RDMA risks related to the processing of personal data
• •Cascading, adopting and delivering regular data protection training and awareness and ensure the RDMA organisation is adequately trained- Facilitating and supporting on third party due diligence
• •Performing assurance activities (i.e., monitor RDMA activities and processes for compliance with legal requirements and Sobi policies)

• •Academic degree or equivalent
• •At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or Biotech industry or within a CRO with data protection tasks
• •Preferable certification in personal data protection, e.g., IAPP
• •Thorough knowledge and understanding of personal data protection principles and the European General Data Protection Regulation in particular, and how these apply to pharmaceutical research activities
• •General understanding of IFPMA requirements and related regional Industry codes (e.g., EFPIA)
• •Basic knowledge in IS/IT in order to assess and provide guidance on e.g. encryption, use of removable media, access restriction etc. to promote security of personal data
• •Fluent written and spoken English
